Barleria cristata L. included in Familia: Acanthaceae. India native plants are generally grown as a hedge plant. Shrubs, 1-3 m high, much branched. Woody stems, round, hairy, green-brown. Single leaf, face, tip of the base and tapering, flat edge. Flowers single or in pairs, oval crown, the color purple. Fruit elliptical, length 1.5 cm.

Composition:
Chemical constituents: The leaves of this plant contain polyphenols and substance pektik. Rods contain polyphenols, saponins, flavonoids, calcium oxalate, fat, substance pektik, and formik acid. While the roots contain polyphenols, saponins, and flavonoids.

Curable Disease:
Rheumatism, cough, swollen; insect bites, venomous snakes digidit.
