The most common symptoms are abdominal pain, dizziness, vomiting and diarrhea. Foods that can cause symptoms of food poisoning, can also appear to be less harmful, such as color, flavor and physical form that appears normal and no signs of damage, but it turned out to contain dangerous bacteria or microorganisms.

Judging from the cause, food poisoning is caused by three things:

Food poisoning caused by the presence of chemically toxic chemicals in food. Poisoning can also be caused by materials derived from certain metals (eg lead, mercury, and cadmium) in the body. Cadmium and mercury levels are high have been found in fish caught from waters that have contamination industrial waste materials. Lead poisoning can occur by drinking water through pipes made of lead.
  • Biological food poisoning.
Biological food poisoning by eating plants that contain naturally occurring substances and are dangerous. "Deadly nightshade" is a kind of shrub that grows in Europe and Asia selurula. All parts of these plants contain drugs "Belladonna", which is sometimes used in medicine to cure asthma, lung disease, and heart disease. But the drug can also cause death, if the dose is too high. Death can also occur in children who have been poisoned from eating the fruit of these plants.

Oxalic acid in the form of potassium oxalate, found in the sap of plants such as spinach. This compound is also present in the human body in very small quantities. But if in large numbers, these compounds can be dangerous, and consume large quantities of spinach can also harm the human body.
  • Because of food poisoning microorganisms
Basically microorganisms can help the lives of other living beings, but microorganisms can also be dangerous because some of the types of microorganisms that can cause serious pain on another living creature (Gaman and Sherrington, 2000: 255).
