Conjunctivitis (inflammation of the eye) is an inflammation or infection of the transparent membrane (conjunctiva) that limit the eyeball eyelid. This inflammation causes the blood vessels to become more visible conjuctiva, which causes pink or red discoloration of the whites of your eyes.
