  • Narrowing of the Nose
Snoring can be caused by a narrowing of the nose. The reason could be due to allergies, and abnormalities in the nasal septum, the wall that separates the left and right nasal cavity. Symptoms include nasal congestion, facial pain and headache. Abnormalities of the nasal septum can be determined by pressing the side of one nostril with your mouth closed, then breathe through the other nostril. To treat it, use a steroid nasal spray. If they still, consult a ENT specialist.

Drinking alcohol makes the body to relax the muscles, including the muscles in the back of the throat. As a result, there was snoring. While smoking can trigger inflammation in the lining of the mucous membranes in the nose and throat, can eventually lead to snoring due to narrowed airways.

  • Jaw problems
Jaw disorders is also a very common cause of snoring. If the tongue is located too close to the jaw and the position of the jaw is too far back, the tongue will inhibit airway. As a result, there was snoring.

  • Obstructive Sleep Apnea
If often wake up at night gasping and nasal congestion, and then in the morning feeling sore throat, it is a sign of having obstructive sleep apnea. Disorder is the most trigger people snore. To overcome this, a breathing apparatus called a CPAP (Continuous Positive Airway Pressure) proved to overcome sleep apnea.

Sometimes this condition is accompanied with mild sleep apnea, especially in those who are obese. In people who are obese, weight loss can help. It could also wear a mask to cover your mouth or nose. Rope tied at the chin to make your mouth closed when sleeping can also be an alternative.

  • Large tonsils
Reduced breathing space at the back of the throat is also one of the triggers snoring. The cause could be due to the soft tissue that hangs at the back of the throat too large, or the tonsils are too big. To address the underlying problem, you should do a tonsillectomy and most tissues in the back of the throat. This action will stop the narrowing of the airways so as to minimize the risk of snoring.

It could also be caused by allergies to fur, especially fur perliharaan. Allergic rhinitis triggered about 20 percent of cases of snoring. To treat it, nasal steroid sprays will help reduce allergy triggers that can block the nose. Antihistamines can also help, but it would be better to keep the source allergic way.
