Apparently, Flies Potentially Cure the Disease

Flies are insects from the suborder Cyclorrapha order Diptera. Flies generally have a pair of wings and a pair of small wings native used to maintain stability during flight.

Flies often live among humans and some types can cause serious illness. Food that has been exposed to flies must have a high risk of transmitting a variety of diseases, diarrhea, dysentery, and serious which can cause blindness.

However, the fly turned out to save a lot of benefits that can be useful to cure various human diseases? A scientist and entomologist from New York, United States was looking for the answer.
In a scientific journal published by the Genome Biology, Dr. Jeff Scott and colleagues from Cornell University in New York conducted research on the fly genome. Simple question, why flies are living in a squalid and contains many diseases have immunity against diseases that landed on her?

The study was conducted by comparing the genomes of houseflies (Musca domestica) with the fruit fly (Drosophila melanogaster). The results showed that turns houseflies have a better immune system than fruit flies, which causes them to be immune from the disease despite living in a dirty and nasty.

Prof. David Conway of the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine said that although the house fly is often regarded as a nuisance and cause the spread of the disease, a study conducted by Dr. Scott and his colleagues proved that flies appeared to have a key for the treatment of human diseases in the future.

He took the example of flies "tse-tse" which can cause drowsiness and death in Africa. After this fly genomes examined was found that this flies in the species closer to the house fly, although the tse-tse flies alive by drinking the blood like mosquitoes.

"Much more research on the fly which is very important for humans. By examining the causes of the disease, it is expected that there will be further research which uses the results of this research to create drugs based on the fly's genome and antibodies," said Prof. Conway who was not involved the study, quoted from the BBC .
